Agents you build on Wixzel Voice place and answer phone calls over a SIP trunk you bring, and Bandwidth is one of the carriers that works with it. Bandwidth bills you for the trunk and the minutes at your own rates; the voice engine is billed per second of actual usage from your Wixzel Voice balance. This page covers where Bandwidth keeps each setting. The steps that are the same for every carrier, and the troubleshooting list, are on SIP trunks.
Allowlist 95.216.218.102 for outbound calls, and send inbound calls to sip:95.216.218.102:5090. Every trunk returns both as platform_ip and origination_uri, so read them from GET /v1/sip-trunks rather than trusting this page to stay current.

How do I connect a Bandwidth SIP trunk to Wixzel Voice?

Bandwidth does not support SIP REGISTER, so a static IP is not optional here: it is the only way the trunk can work.

Add the platform IP to the location

In the Bandwidth App, under a location’s Voice IP addresses / DNS hosts, add 95.216.218.102.

Configure both directions

Termination (outbound, calls we send) and Origination (inbound, calls Bandwidth sends us) are configured separately. Bandwidth signals from more than one proxy, so allow every address it lists for your region rather than the first one. A call arriving from the second proxy is otherwise rejected intermittently, which is far harder to diagnose than a clean failure.

Or use credentials instead

Bandwidth’s SIP Authentication (network bridge) uses a username, password and a realm that doubles as an FQDN. Put the username and password on your Wixzel trunk and set auth_realm to the realm they give you.
